KCWC Menu Serves up the Right Stuff

KCWC has a great line up on sessions and speakers for you.  Around 11:30 when tummies start rumbling, everyone’s focus changes to the next most important item on the agenda…FOOD!  While we are absorbing nuggets of writing wisdom, Chef Steve MacDonald on Grace Heartland’s staff will be up before dawn working on nuggets of deliciousness to serve us.  Chef Steve will be in the kitchen all weekend preparing some great spreads for us.  Here is what is on the menu:

Friday lunch we will be bringing a Grilled Salad bar with the fixings back again.  Grilled chicken and beef strips will be available, along with all the other toppings and dressings for a healthy and delicious meal.  Dessert will follow.

Dinner on Friday evening is Champagne Chicken, baked chicken with Swiss cheese in a champagne cream sauce. (no alcohol).  This is similar to Chicken Cordon Bleu but minus the ham.  Sides will be diced red potatoes, a vegetable mix with a salad. Enjoy this great meal with laughs from the Eric and Joe Show. This luscious and filling meal will lead us right into dessert and Open Mic time.

We requested that Steve find a way to fit in a favorite of so many past conference attenders.  So back by popular demand is Vegetable Lasagna! (cheering sounds and whistles!) It will be served at lunch on Saturday, accompanied by garlic bread and a salad.  This is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Since we are offering early morning classes this year and not all will be able to take advantage of hotel breakfast, a light breakfast will be available both mornings.  Arnold’s special roasted coffee will be brewed and ready for you.  Fresh fruit, donuts and granola bars for a quick pick up should keep you at your best each morning.

At KCWC we take our food as seriously as we do writing!  So write on and bon appetite! And may the Lord bless them both!
